Geysers, pool pumps and underfloor heating change these numbers dramatically — which is why we usually recommend a heat pump or geyser controller alongside solar.
It can, but it's expensive electricity to spend that way. A geyser pulls 3–4kW for hours. Fitting a heat pump or smart controller first is almost always cheaper than buying enough solar to feed a resistive element.
A hybrid system falls back to the grid automatically — you simply generate less. If you're grid-independent by choice, we size storage and, where relevant, generator support for that scenario up front.
